Communication Federal Credit Union (originally Pioneer Bell Credit Union) was founded by employees of Southwestern Bell Telephone in downtown Oklahoma City. A federal charter for the Pioneer Bell Credit Union was granted in 1939.
Since that time, CFCU has grown to serve many other outstanding companies including OG&E, ONEOK, Inc. & Subsidiaries, AEP/PSO, Chaparral Energy, AT&T, Goodyear Tire and more than 250 other groups. The name was changed to Communication Federal Credit Union in 1982 to reflect this growing field of membership.
Communication Federal is a full-service credit union with over 150 employees and 20 branches in Oklahoma and Kansas, serving more than 55,000 members.
CFCU is among the safest financial institutions in the country. We have received Bauer Financial Reports' prestigious "Five-Star" rating as one of the nation's most stable and best performing credit unions for the past 23 years.
